NICAD - 12:00 - 12:45

A local rock band with international proportions, NiCad's music is as diverse as its members, with origins spanning Japan, Israel, Chile, America and Germany. "We hear the raw sound of the Pixies, but also the dynamics of Radiohead, Bob Dylan's protest and the happy note of a young international Dutch band." More than just a musical collaboration, NiCad illustrates our potential as humans to utilise each others differences for the better. The highly anticipated release of their third album For the Good is set to captivate fans and critics alike. (JP, IL, CL, US, DE)

LINDA SERCK - DJ BBC - 12:45 -17:45

Linda Serck presents BBC Introducing, a programme which explores new music and runs interviews with local new and well-known bands and artists. Always on the lookout for alternative and indie music from Europe, Serck shares her finds at THE EUROPEAN LIFE I LIVE. You can enjoy her show in the time between the stage performances, which she will be hosting too.

CHRISTINE TOBIN - 13:15 - 14:00

Irish-born singer-songwriter Christine Tobin draws on influences from West Africa to Brazil to create a sound that is rich, authentic and deeply expressive. Her "24 carat voice", as dubbed by The Guardian, earned her Best Vocalist at the BBC Jazz Awards in 2008, and has taken her to the stages of some of the world's most renowned jazz festivals. This "jewel of the London jazz scene" (The Guardian) is highly regarded by her contemporaries for her versatility, while this musical free spirit blurs the lines to create her own eclectic style. RENZO SPITERI - SOLO  - 14:20 - 14:40 / WITH THE ROYAL CONSERVATORY 17:45 - 18:00

The phenomenal Maltese percussionist, composer and producer Renzo Spiteri has performed at dozens of festivals around the world and now performs for the first time in The Hague. Spiteri combines state-of-the-art with primitive percussion drums from old musical traditions. Especially for THE EUROPEAN LIFE I LIVE, Spiteri creates a track which commences a dialogue with the historical surroundings of the Voorhout with students from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. The concert takes place at 17:45. Spiteri kicks off a cultural exchange between the Hague and Valetta, Malta's capital and Cultural Capital of Europe in 2018. The Hague also aims to be nominated cultural capital in the same year. To read more about this candidacy, visit www.denhaag-2018.nl. (MT)

YEVGUENI - 15:15 - 16:00

From unpronouncable to unavoidable. That is probably the best way to summarise the steady rise of Yevgueni. The Dutch press unanimously described the recently released fourth album Welkenraedt by the Flemish ensemble as "brilliant", "a pop pearl of great proportions". After a booming show at Amsterdam's Paradiso early this year, the band is proving that it's a force to be reckoned with. Catch the melodic pop-rock formation on the rise during their Dutch tour this Autumn at THE EUROPEAN LIFE I LIVE FESTIVAL. (BE)

FOLTIN - 16:30 - 17:15

Evading traditional musical genres, Foltin is an unusual formation whose sound is best described as surreal, passionate and witty. Their dynamic, fast paced rhythm and skillful blend of jazz, funk, bossa nova and electro has made them one of Macedonia's most significant bands. With five albums to date, and an impressive repertoire of theatre and music festival appearances spanning Europe, Foltin is best known for their unpredictable and original live shows. If that weren't enough, phonetic imitations of Spanish, French, Romanian and Portuguese make for some serious lyrical intrigue. (MK, SP, FR, RO, PT)

JAM DE LA CREME - EUROPEAN FLAVOUR - 18:00 - 19:30

Hear the word 'jam' and most of us grab our air guitar and let loose, but spontaneous live music making sessions have come a long way over the years, thanks to the Jam de la Crème collective. At their own festival, during Life I Live Festival earlier this year, at Oerol Festival and even outside Dutch borders, the crème de la crème of the music scene have jammed, unrehearsed, as one. At The European Life I Live, Jam de la  Crème eliminates boundaries to create new music right under your nose! www.jamdelacreme.nl.
